Meet Hari: One of SBT’s Project Managers Keeping Everything on Track

At Security Blue Team (SBT), delivering high-quality cybersecurity training relies on strong coordination behind the scenes. In this Faces of SBT feature, we’re shining a spotlight on Hari, one of our Project Managers, whose calm oversight and sharp organization help turn ambitious ideas into real results.

For those who already work with her, this is a chance to see a bit more of the person helping to steer many of SBT’s key initiatives. Whether you’re a client who’s benefited from a well-run rollout or you’re simply curious about life at SBT, here’s Hari in her own words.

Hari: Turning Complexity into Clarity

As part of SBT’s project management function, Hari helps keep some of the company’s most important work flowing smoothly. In her role, she explains that she is responsible for “leading high-impact, cross-functional projects, from delivering seamless seasonal events to managing new certification rollouts.” At its core, the role is about momentum and alignment, making sure teams stay connected and that “everything [keeps] moving smoothly,” while turning complex initiatives into “clear, achievable outcomes.”

A major part of that work centers on client experience. Hari places a strong emphasis on communication, explaining how she makes sure she “fully capture[s] client requirements,” listens carefully to everyone involved, and keeps lines of communication “crystal clear.” By anticipating issues before they arise and balancing structure with flexibility, her goal is to ensure that “every interaction feels seamless and professional” and that clients consistently receive the best possible experience.

A Day in the Life of a Project Manager at SBT

Like many roles at SBT, no two days look the same.

Hari describes days spent moving between meetings, analyzing Jira boards, updating RAID logs, chasing answers from stakeholders, and keeping track of actions and owners. Alongside that, she also spends time shaping processes and governance documents, helping ensure that SBT’s ways of working remain clear and efficient. She thrives on staying ahead of the game, keeping projects on track, and, as she puts it, “having a bit of fun along the way.”

That variety and pace were exactly what drew her to Security Blue Team in the first place. She shares that she had never worked in a startup or in cybersecurity before, but was excited by the opportunity to join “an innovative, fast-moving team.” Looking back, she describes it as “one of the best decisions I’ve made,” where every day brings the chance to learn something new and make a real impact.

What Hari Enjoys Most

The parts of the role Hari enjoys most reflect her strengths as a communicator and problem solver. She speaks openly about loving “talking to people, solving risks, managing expectations, and turning tricky problems into simple, actionable plans.” For her, there’s a real sense of satisfaction in seeing a project through from idea to completion while keeping everyone involved happy along the way.

That confidence is backed by a broad professional background. Hari has been a Project Manager for over 10 years, working across retail, infrastructure, gaming, banking, IT, and now cybersecurity. She graduated from Aston University in 2015 with First Class Honors and completed a professional placement at JLR, which she credits with really kickstarting her career.

Looking Ahead

Looking to the future, Hari is focused on growth and long-term impact. She’s aiming to continue developing her skills, take on larger and more strategic projects, and eventually move into senior leadership. For her, it’s about continuing to make a difference and helping shape how SBT delivers excellence across everything it does.

Outside of work, balance matters. Hari enjoys walking, keeping up with her energetic six-year-old, and binge-watching Netflix series whenever time allows. And while her career path didn’t follow her childhood dream exactly, there’s a clear thread running through it. As a child, she wanted to be a teacher because she loved helping people learn and figure things out. Today, she sees that same spirit reflected in her role as a Project Manager, guiding teams, sharing knowledge, and helping people navigate projects successfully.

Hari’s Role Within SBT

Hari is a key part of SBT’s wider project management and delivery team, working closely with developers, trainers, sales, and leadership to help ensure certifications, events, and client projects land smoothly and meet expectations. Her ability to listen carefully, anticipate challenges, and simplify complexity supports both her colleagues and the people SBT serves.

She brings structure without rigidity, and that balance plays an important role in how Security Blue Team operates day to day. Her experience, energy, and people-first approach reflect the culture that underpins how SBT continues to grow.
