Security Blue Team named G2 Leader for Cybersecurity Training

Ranked #2 on G2 for cybersecurity training with a 4.8 rating. See how hands-on, real-world learning helps SOC teams and individual build capability

Security Blue Team named G2 Leader for Cybersecurity Training and ranked #2 globally

This winter we were named a Leader by G2, retained our High Performer badges and were ranked #2 out of 39 providers in the Cybersecurity Professional Development category with 4.8 star rating.

Whilst this is great news for Security Blue Team, the real impact sits behind the reviews. It was the stories about people getting their first SOC role, organisations building stronger teams, and analysts being onboarded faster that make the biggest difference.

The reviews consistently talked about people’s experiences and the effect a certification or course had on their day-to-day work. Independent recognition like this matters because it helps both learners and organisations make confident decisions about who to train with and where to gain their certifications such as BTL1

Across individuals, SOC teams, and enterprise environments, the same pattern appeared, repeatedly. People described how they used the hands-on operational knowledge they gained to build capability and confidence in their roles and teams.

Why Security Blue Team?

The strongest theme in the feedback was the practical, investigation-led approach. Individual learners repeatedly talked about analysing logs, handling incidents, working through real scenarios, and using the same tools they encountered in operational environments which helped them:

  • Move into their first cybersecurity role
  • Progress to the next level in a SOC
  • Build the confidence to investigate and make decisions under pressure

For organisations, the impact showed up in a different way. Team leaders described how the certifications had given them:

  • Structured and reliable ways to develop analysts
  • Reduced onboarding time with new recruits
  • Increased consistency of response times across the team

That consistency mattered when improving investigation quality, prioritising alerts more effectively, and giving managers clear visibility of progress.

There was also a repeated point about the structure of the certifications and courses, with clear pathways, and content that aligned to real roles giving both learners and team leaders a shared framework to work from. This included progression from our junior certifications through to CSOM for those in more experienced SecOps roles.

The role of the community

Another theme that came through strongly was the community, namely the level of support people experienced while they were learning through our LinkedIn and Discord communities. Cybersecurity is a collaborative discipline, and the ability to ask questions, share approaches, and learn alongside others made a significant difference to how quickly people progressed.

A shared achievement

These results are a direct reflection of the people who use our e-learning platform every day, the individuals building their first roles, the teams developing their analysts, and the community that supports that progress.

Thank you to everyone who has taken the time to leave a review, share feedback, and help others move forward; it’s what allows us to keep improving and supporting the next group of learners and organisations.

If you are already part of the Security Blue Team community and have not yet shared your experience on G2, we would really value you taking the time to write a review. Your insight really matters and helps other see the impact of hands-on cybersecurity training and helps us shape the certifications and courses.
